21 of us out today at the Eye 10K. Great route and super support from Eye Community Runners. This time next year, we hope to be a fully affiliated club and have many more runners entering. A great morning with Cara & Louise running in […]
Well done to all our Parkrunners this weekend. We had 7 runners at Peterborough, 3 of which were First Timers.
And what First Timers they were with Daniel getting round his first Parkrun in 21.23, partner Amelia smashing the ever popular sub 30 target with an impressive 29.05 and Angela who only started our None To Run in January clocking up a healthy 39.46 after running with Karen who got a PB of 39.42. There was a PB for Cara too who was encouraged round by Andrea who was on her 80th Parkrun in 33.43.
Great job all including our Ken who was volunteering as photographer ahead of his GEAR 10k!
A quick trip to London to see both our billboards – one at Mile 21 and one at Mile 22. Well done to the winning photographer Ken Drummond and thanks to Run Together for choosing our photo and our club to represent Run Together.
The best thing about being in a Run Together group is the camaraderie.
This morning, before one of our group runs, we set about taking a group photo to enter the Run Together billboard competion – basically Run Together are looking for a pic to capture the fun, friendliness and support of the Run Together initiative.
We reckon we have a few possible entires.
We are proud of our Run Together Group and have the T Shirt to prove it. Our page The T Shirt documents the T Shirt on its travels around the UK and further afield. Our first entry really does set the standard as Jonathan gets to complete his morning run in full view of Sydney Opera House and Bridge. Not sure anyone will beat that for distance but we look forward to seeing the Sawtry Walk To Run T Shirt turning up wherever our runners go.
