On a lovely sunny Easter Saturday, we had runners at Peterborough, Huntingdon, Torbay and Queen Elizabeth Country Park. Apart from adding a T and Q to our parkrun A – Z challenge, we got more PBs and added a new member to the parkrun family. …
Month: April 2019
6 of our ladies entered the Rutland Half Marathon. 5 of them had not run a Half Marathon before and had in fact only started running last April. That is impressive!
Their times were Amy (1.58.33), Annika (2.27.37), Dani (2.29.21), Nikkita (2.29.51), Hilary (2.41.15) and Helen J (2.42.40).
PBs all round!
This weekend saw our runners out doing the Lincoln 10k, the Cambourne 10K and the Sandy 10 Mile.
There were a few of us with injuries who couldn’t take their place but those that did get out and race, did us proud as ever.
Ken who is carrying an ankle injury, completed the Lincoln 10k in 1.02.46, Kat completed Cambourne 10K in 56.45, and Dan completed his first competitive 10Mile at Sandy in 1.27.00
Adding to the achievements of the weekend, Kat (who has been asked to be a Run Director at Huntingdon parkrun) crossed the line in 27.34 (a course record for her) and Aimee finished in 27.04 for a PB – well done girls!
