Our village charity CARESCO do a fab job of running the food bank in the village. Every year they give people the opportunity to provide a ‘reverse advent calendar’. This year, Sawtry Walk To Run got together to provide a number of hampers to help CARESCO provide food to those most in need. Between us we collected quite a haul which was delivered to CARESCO where its weighed in and then distributed to families around the village.

This week saw 2 more PBs with Lizzie completing Huntingdon parkrun in 28.11. Clearly though a PB was not enough to satisfy Lizzie as she ran the 10 or so miles back home to Sawtry with mum Andrea who is the club’s representative in the 2019 London Marathon.
The second PB went to Tara who was running at Rutland Water parkrun and came home in 31.33. She credited her success to her fellow Canadians – the geese who were also flying round the course!
