We were very proud to be part of this year’s Poppy Appeal. The Sawtry community has really come together to remember the fallen from WW1 in this anniversary year.
There are poppies on the lamp posts and displays all around the village on homes, schools and pubs remembering the 28 fallen Sawtry soldiers WW1.
We took to the streets to be part of the team who go door to door selling poppies. We met some lovely people and went home with full collection tins thanks to the kindness of the villagers.
