We held our first One Mile for Mind event on Sunday 7 October when we made an open invitation to villagers who wouldn’t normally come and join us to either walk, walk/run or run One Mile to raise awareness for mental health.
We had a fantastic turnout of around 150 people with many new faces to enjoy the bright autumnal day.
Many of our group baked cakes for the occasion and our local Co-Op kindly provided us with a voucher to purchase team, coffee and squash. It was all free but we asked for donation for Mind and raised a lovely total of £276 which was sent off to our local Mind.
