*under England Athletics guidance we are back training in groups of up to a maximum of 6. We have conducted a Covid Risk Assessment and to manage numbers we are using our Run Together booking system to ensure no more than 5 runners book into any session with any of our Leaders and Coaches.*

Welcome to the website of Sawtry Walk To Run who are an affiliated England Athletics Running Club. Only established in 2017, we started life as a Run Together Group before applying for full EA Club status as our membership grew. We are now over 100 members strong.

We run our free 10 week beginners programmes through our Run Together site every Spring & Autumn (watch this space for Autumn 2020 programme details) and all other runs are managed by the Club for which membership is £20 a year (plus £15 for runners who want to be an England Athletics registered athlete & qualify for discounted race entires plus other membership benefits).

In non-Covid times we meet:

Sundays 8.30am at St Judiths 

&

at 7.15 pm on Tuesdays Thursdays outside Lifestyles at Sawtry Gym in Green End Road

Each of the 3 weekly sessions provide a variety of options. Generally our longer runs are on a Sunday morning and we do our shorter runs and strength/efforts sessions in the week. However, there are always different options to suit all abilities. We also have a ‘number of ‘Jeffing’ groups for those who prefer to walk/run rather than simply running and we often put on walk sessions too for those new or getting back to regular exercise.

We have two EA qualified coaches plus 9 Leaders in Running Fitness and regular group helpers and so there is always someone about to support and answer any questions.

We pride ourselves on being inclusive and super friendly (but still competitive for those who want that edge). If you want to see what we are about before committing to joining us, come along to one of the our regular sessions listed above *currently you will need to register on Run Together and then book into any one of the sessions which are held at various places around the village to avoid any larger gatherings*.
